MedPouch Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

MedPouch is a personal medical wallet for iPhone. This policy explains what happens to the information you enter. The short version: your information stays on your iPhone. We never receive it.

Information you enter

You can enter your name, date of birth, blood type, medical conditions, organ donor status, medications, prescriptions (including photos), allergies, emergency contacts, and the same details for family members.

All of this is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage, and is encrypted by iOS while your iPhone is locked. MedPouch has no accounts and no servers. We, the developer, cannot see, access, or recover your information.

Information we collect

None. MedPouch does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal or health information. It contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking software, and does not use third-party SDKs.

Photos and camera

If you choose to attach a photo to a prescription, MedPouch accesses only the photo you select, or the camera when you tap "Take Photo". Photos are stored only inside the app on your device.

Notifications

Medication reminders are scheduled locally on your iPhone. No reminder data is sent to us or to any server.

Sharing

Information leaves your device only when you choose to share it, for example by sharing your emergency card image or travel packing list, or by letting someone scan your emergency card's QR code. Anyone who scans the QR code can read the information shown on the card. You can turn the QR code off in the app.

Backups

If you use iCloud Backup or computer backups, your iPhone's backup may include MedPouch's data, under Apple's backup protections. We have no access to these backups.

Deleting your information

You can delete everything at any time in Profile → Privacy & Data → Delete All Data. Deleting the app also removes its data from your device.

Children

MedPouch is not directed at children. Parents and guardians may use it to keep records for their family. Those records stay on the parent's device.

Medical disclaimer

MedPouch helps you organize your own information. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
